I'm currently a fith year PhD candidate in Bioengineering at UC Berkeley and UCSF in the Molecular Cell Biomechanics Lab. My current interests and research include computational biology and the application of agent based modeling and cellular automata techniques to simulate biological systems, specifically transport through the nuclear pore complex. Another research area I'm interested in is bioinformatics - check out HYPNO, a cool new HYbrid Protein NucleOtide phylogenetic tree reconstruction tool I developed in collaboration with the Berkeley Phylogenomics Group. Additionally, I have a strong interest and background in medical device development and telemedicine.

Some of my personal interests include science, tech, business, food, programming, gaming and running. Feel free to visit my blog or to follow me on these social networks: twitter, linkedin, facebook.
